HOW IS YOUR STRONGWILL?

What do you understand by procrastination?  It simply means when you are to do something and you do not do it.  Most times it is usually because you do not want to do it.

However for the sake of this topic, I am emphasizing on something you are supposed to do, which you delay for whatsoever reasons.

The main truth remains that there is nothing worse than procrastination.  It does not help. It is destruction for anybody. It is an express way to failure. It brings nothing, absolutely nothing more to than failure for those who embrace it.

Shall we say you are about to embark on an important project for your life. You knew the end result is breakthroughs that will spark up your prosperity. Rather you keep postponing it for flimsy excuses. It becomes a battle to get on track this promising project.

At that point an engagement slips in thus distracting your focus.  Each time your mind goes back to remind you of need to start this project, your excuses mount so higher and frustrating that finally you end up with nothing

A free moment rolls in and that gear you up to make up your mind to commence.  However it’s all the same. The same old story!  The days go by, the weeks roll in and of course the months follow, you discover you have not been able to fulfill that need in you.

Procrastination does not bring success to anybody. It is simply a waste of time and value. It is not a fast avenue to goals attainment.

Think about this; how many people have lost the best part of their future today through procrastination?  How many dreams have been buried and forgotten as a result of this?  How many futures have been ruined?

I am sure that you do not want to find yourself in such position that you will end up regretting that you have not accomplish your goals. I believe that you truly want to get to that point in your life that you will look back at the past years and be grateful to yourself for achieving all that you have planned.

You have to learn that what you want is to achieve a goal and not to pack all your life to the brim with failure.

WAYS TO AVOID PROCRASTINATION

1) BE RIGHT ON TIME

Avoid whatever will tempt you to postpone a duty to another time. Do it when it must be done. Set a time for that duty, and learn to stand by it. Avoid any delay.

2) BE DISCIPLINE

It takes a fixed mindset to achieve a goal. Train yourself to always get things done and at the right time. If it means you have to limit the way you sleep excessively, just do it! Get discipline, and embrace wisdom with it.

3) BE ORGANISED

Have you ever since someone so distracted in all his ways that finds life so easy?  Your need to put things orderly is required in order for you to bypass procrastination.

Someone so disorganised will have much trouble around him. He will not be able to settle down to think properly, neither will he be able to reach a resolution on whatever he set out to do. Arrange what you need to arrange. It may be your abode, your working place, or even your inner thoughts. For instance, a distracted mind cannot find the peace to focus. Get out of messing things up, and move on toward what will bring you to your success.

4) BE DETERMINED

Bethany Hamilton determined to move on irrespective of her condition. She did not stop from attaining her goals because she had lost one arm through a shark attack. That was years ago. Rather, she sees the positive side of life through her pain. She moved on, she fights on, and she is determined each day to keep rising above. Today, Bethany has made a name for herself. She won several medals, while surfing with just an arm! Without her determination, without her willingness to carry on despite all, she would not have been where she is today. This is applicable to you as well. Do you know that if Bethany had lost hope and the strong will after the terrible attack, she would not have gotten to where she is today?

Whenever I think of her, I see nothing, rather than a strong young fighter. She inspires me.  There are lots of her out there as well. Think about Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald, and then there is Wilma Rudolph, Ben Hogan. What about Walt Disney? Have you forgotten about Tiger Wood? And where do we leave the space for Steve Jobs? How many of these people do you know?

* In one of my next edition, I will emphasize closely on these great movers and shakers of our society. For the moment, all that l am concerned about is; YOU.

Flee from PROCRASTINATION!

Cheers!

HOW TO OVERCOME THE ENEMY WITHIN

Yesterday, I finished my work at 16h00. I was not in a hurry to rush home as before. It took me about thirty minutes to move away from my locker to the car park. On my way out, I noticed there were so six fire fighter vehicles parked within the Administrative section. I sensed something was going on. Usually when you observed such things, the first thing that will come to your head is that there is a fire outbreak somewhere. However in France, fire fighters do more than that.

I was not thinking in the direction of any inferno. I just knew that there is a problem. I walked pass these vehicles. The security men were everywhere. I have friends among them nevertheless none of them was able to help me.

When I got out, rights in front of me were throng of fire fighters and police officers in one section near the two major gates that lead into the Main Park.   A wide road bar had been put into place, right inside the barred circle was a big light-pinked tent laid out. Even the gates were locked up. We were instructed to exit through the Studio section. Two of my security friends were on duty. I am a staff and that gave me the privileged to move closer and make inquiry.

I was told a guest suddenly got into cardiac attack. The more I asked, the more I became so curious to know what could have led him to such. One part of the tale was that he was in anger over the phone; the other part was he was angry at someone who was with him at that time.

What truly touched me was that he was definitely angry about someone or over something.

When I drove out of the park, my mind did not release me from thinking so deep about this incident. I tried to compare myself with this man. Inwardly I hoped he would survive the attack. I just could not imagine the worst coming for him. At least I knew many people had such attack and survived.

Today, I resumed work with the intention to ask about his welfare. I had a rude shock when I discovered that he did not survive it after all. Here, I was lost inbetween whether to start crying or not. Being very emotional, I could not get it over me.

My colleague tried to warn me to wave it off.  The day went by so slowly and annoying as I could not get this man away from my mind. I tried to picture him leaving his house in the morning with his family or alone to come and enjoy his weekend.  Instead, he did allowed a nasty feeling to wipe away the rest of his life.

I came to the knowledge that it is vital for me to share this with you. If ever you might find yourself in the position, such as this, I bet that after reading this article you will learn to avoid such no matter the circumstances.

Heart problem is known to have been a disease that inflicted about 30% of human race. Some of its victims are by hereditary. This is when it is passed from the parents or one of the parent’s generations down to the new ones. It is such like cancer, leukaemia, asthma, and the rest.

In another case, heart attacks come to some people by their actions. They allow it. It is not a free gift. It comes in by reactions to many events or issues happening around us.

I want you to understand that the one underlining enemy with a human being is nothing else than ANGER.

Can you remember how any times a day you have been subject to annoyance? Someone may not have been the cause of your reaction. A thought about your past may cause you to reflect over something disgusting that happened then and you end up noticing that your face are squeezed in annoyance. This is when your fore brow tightened as such that everybody around you will finally ask if you are all right.

The current economy situation worldwide is becoming a thought for food. Many homes are afraid of going down the drain. You may have discovered how your friends have switched their usual ways of reasoning. It seems to be that everybody around you is acting crazy at this moment.

You must come to the realisation that anger does nothing more than to create worst moment for you. In this period, you need your sound health more than you ever need anything available to you.

Whatever may be causing you pain, no matter how offended and frustrated you may be about a situation; I implore you to erase the thought of getting into the state of anger in this respect.

It is human to be angry if need be however; it is more prudent to escape from any situation that will inflame the anger within you to boil into the open.

1) MOVE AWAY

You may be furious against your spouse, children or anyone.  An argument may be on, walk away from that scene. It won’t cost you a dime. In fact, it is known that people say one is weak when walking away from an argument. I called this strength and not weakness. Ignorant has succeeded in blinding large number of people. Majority of them fail to realise that wisdom profit better than stupidity. I wondered what you will gain from staying in such situation and keep on screaming at one another. Walk away. You may go far off for hours until you feel your opponent has calmed. If you do this, you gain lot of respect than when you allowed yourself to be put in a position where it is too late to adjust.

2) SPEAK LESS

You are not supposed to talk when it is not necessary. Anything can happen; you may be in the middle of unwarranted issue. Weigh your word before your speak. The faster your inner mind pushes you to respond, the worst you dive into trouble. You are not a fool when you shut up your mouth. This has saved me many troubles in my life. When I don’t talk, that does not mean I am not angry, it just mean that I am trying to avoid more problems and that concern my health. My advise is do not be tempted to respond quickly. Give a second to think and deeply before you talk.

3) AVOID THE NEED TO REACT

It is not every situation that warrants you to react immediately. You may be trapped within any argument and you feel that the entire world around you is about to fall on you. This is when you will discover that the inner you want to react. Do not give the space for that to happen. Instead, I suggest that you calm down and think properly. You know what; anger is capable of destroying long term friendship. Do not allow fraction of a second of anger to ruin all that you have struggled to build up. Create much space for harmony more than for trouble. Learn to accept others for whom they are. It is not too late if ever at all you have made mistakes in the past. You can still make up. Get out the fury in you. I suggest you go before your mirror, and speak out your pain. Look at yourself deeply and tell your heart that enough is enough.

4)  MASTER YOUR TEMPER

There is nothing worse than someone with a bad temper. Have you ever been near such person? Have you ever notice the way he acts without any remorse? It can be disgracing! No one with a correct sense and mind will ever wish to be close friend with a bad temper person. No matter how loving such person can be in whatever way, he will always be known in the negative way for his bad temper.

You may be the one with such temper; it is my duty to warn you of the danger in it. You will never get far in life if you do not learn to master your temper. It may not be your fault that you have such and of course you are not the only one with that attribute, nevertheless, it has been known that bad temper can be put under control.

It takes your strong dedication and discipline. Having patient is also required to get it where it should be. While you are boiling with fury, watch what you are saying even as you speak. Listen to your voice to check if you have diverted your attention from mastering your temper. Avoid any occasions that might get you nervous.

5) FORGIVE

No matter who must have offended us, no matter the gravity of such offense, every human being has all that is needful to let go of any hurt feeling. I implore you to forgive whatever wrong someone must have done to you. Learn to release that person from your heart. It may be your spouse, your children, and whosoever; you must forgive. It may be painful, but I want you to know that you gain nothing from keeping the memory of that wrong in your heart.

No one is perfect. We are all learning to be. If you want to be that gentleman or that lady that those around you will reverence and loved to be with, then you have to develop a strong forgiving spirit. People have hurt me in my life, however, I have learnt along the years to do away with whatever pains in my heart.

I know that it is not easy but I want to assure you that you have the power within you to forgive. Work towards it. You will never regret that you heed to my word.

Cheers!

Today, I have different events to share with you.

This week, I had the opportunity to attend the professional exhibition of the 2008 World Automobile show.

The official commencement date even to the public will be from the 4 – 19 October.

However, there were two -day exhibition strictly reserved for automobile professionals beginning from the 2nd – 3rd October.

With invitation from my friends, I attended the first of the two days.

It was held at the Parc d’Exposition, situated at Porte de Versailles.

From the day, the professional exhibition started, entrance had been restricted. No one can enter the Parc without holding an entry ticket unlike before.

Movement became jam-packed. Even the atmosphere showed this is indeed a grand exhibition.

Traffic on the street moved on so sluggish that one cannot help but noticed.

Gigantic banners can be seen everywhere and up to the down town. My friends were lucky to have booked their lodging weeks ahead.

We discovered that the hotels around and far off were filled to capacity.

It could not be more than what I saw! There are several car manufacturers with the new range from; Mercedes, Toyota, BMW, Lamborghini, Chester, Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, and lots of others, all on display!

At the park, I walked in with great expectation to look at the new model. I guess my excitement paid off at the end. Every minute spent at the exhibition ground indeed worthwhile.

If ever you travel to Paris before 1Oth October, do not hesitate to visit the auto exhibition.
