Last edition I talked about the crisis each of us are going through. It may be from personal issue or societal economic losses. Everyone has his own problem to deal with.

However, it depends on how you as an individual are able to deal with it.  Before I go further in this article, I want you to take few seconds going through deep reflect about what goes on around you.

Barely a week ago, hundreds of home-owners lost their houses to unexpected wild fire in Sylmar and Montecito, the northern area of Los Angeles. If anybody had taken the time out to inform these people a day before this terrible incident that they will be homeless the following day, l can bet my entire life that they will never believe it.  So came the incident, and thus were gone their assets.

Few days to this fire incident, innocent Haitian children untimely lost their lives when their school building collapsed so suddenly over their heads. Their parents had the loss to bear today. Those children’s promising future was wiped off under one single threat.

With the current economic crises, many families had been left with nothing. Many became bankrupted so suddenly and taken aback.

A major American automobile manufacturer just announced 70% job-cut last week. Where in the name of the world will these retrenched staff have the fast opportunities to be recruited into other companies? How will they survive with their families? The unemployment rates swung so high that the American government had no choice than to sign the benefit allocation bills in order to provide for those out of jobs.

Can you now see that you are not the only one going through any problems at the moment?

This is why I want you to understand that you have all it takes within you to pass through this moment without sinking deeper or losing hope when you are not suppose to.

I implore you to make use of these valuable advices below;

1) ENCOURAGE OTHERS

You find strength mostly when you go out of your zone comfort to elevate others who are in the similar situation as you. I suggest that you tried as much as you can to meet the needs of these people. Talk to them. Allow that to open up their hearts to you. Listen so attentively to what they have to say. Do not be so much in a hurry that you will not give them chance to express themselves.

Note that in life, people love those who are willing to hear them. This is good for you to overcome your worst moment. You gain so much by doing this. It does not cost you anything. You benefit greatly if you show those around you that you have your shoulders for them to lean on.

2) OPEN UP

The more you close yourself up during your tough times, the harder you are getting the situation tight. Go out and talk to those that you know is willing to hear you. You will discover that the strength and the hope to carry on in life will be there once you have open up. Removed whatever shield you might have built to protect yourself from people. Not everybody is bad or can mislead you.  Do not be afraid to pour out your heart. You need strength at this time, and you will get it from expressing your mind.

3) A MUSTARD SEED

Check out for faith and hope. You will need these two to carry on. Everybody goes through tough times. I have experienced worst moments in my life. However, I came to realise that with so great a hope deep down my heart, I can sail on. This is what I want for you as well. Learn to see the bright future instead of imagining it bleak. Listen to your positive side of life. Check in everything around you for those things that will motivate you.

4) BE AT PEACE

Nothing on earth is impossible. I am a special person each day that passes by; I look at my life in a different ways. I do not try to see my pasts in whatever I am doing. Do you know why? This is because I know that my life is so vast than my present situations. It does not matter how the world may see me now. What matters is what I am doing right now and what I am definite that I will become. Change your mentality. Change the way you start looking at life now that you are undergoing worst moment.  Please change the thought that your life has ended. Be assured that the best of your life are about to begin.

Go out of your way to start doing things that you have never been doing before.

If you are broken hearted due to a separation, it is not too late for you to start afresh. There are good men and women outside there who are better than your ex is. It takes your strong decision to meet this special new person.

Are you just getting over the loss of a dear one; do not be sad. Take it as life issues. Go out and be happy. You will be doing more good to yourself when you are happy than when you shut out the world from you.

Are you worried over whatsoever? There is hope for you. Everything will be fine. Be ready for the breakthrough that you desire. You will find rest. Just open up and share your happiness with others.

Cheers!

On 13th Thursday night of this month, the residents of Montecito and Sylmar in the northern side of Los Angeles did not expect the devastating incident that will hereafter destroyed so many homes and hopes. A large brush fire started unexpected, taking the entire cities by storm! It was totally outraging. Nobody knew the cause of the fire. With high level of the wind, the fire spread widely without mercy, thus forcing the residents to evacuate their houses. More than six hundred houses were brought to the ground by this inferno. USA has been battling with fire issue for several decades.

On another side, USA has been battling without relenting on the economic crises for the past two months. Several investors have now been left with nothing more than losses. Today, many homes have no choice than to start selling off their houses just to overcome this problem. This causes huge number of job-drops, which means the high-rising rate of unemployment in the country.

Now only USA is having the test of time, Europe is not left out either. The need to spend lesser than before is the cry on the lips of everybody. Car owners prefer to leave behind their vehicles at home and board the public transport instead. Fuel and diesel are now becoming gold. The cost of maintaining the vehicles is not left out either.

In every corner you turn, everybody is complaining. They cannot afford to purchase as they used to. We have less than six weeks to Christmas. Normally, the celebration starts a month ahead before December. However, many people knew that with this coming Christmas, they just have to do with what they have.

We all have these times that our mood change as result of circumstances that overwhelmed us.

It may be the loss of someone so dear such as a relative, friend or even a spouse. This is the time when we got to part of us that nothing else matters anymore; when you felt that the worst had just happened in your life.

It may be separation from a relationship; when you just called it quit with someone once dear to you.

In another direction, you may be passing through a difficult times in your life, for instances, in your place of work, or among your association.

Whatever the situation, you may be going through right now; I want to let you know that there is usually a time like this. This is the reason I want you to understand that there are what to do to overcome such moment.

Before I emphasize farther, I wish to make you realise that irrespective of your situation, you are not the first person to experience this. This means that others have passed through this same situation, and they have gone out of it.

Nobody loves to loss a dear one; there is no one who wishes to have a bad relationship; neither is there anyone who prays to undergo rough times. These are mere phrase of time, and they will definitely slip away.

So what can you do at such a time as this?

v  Watch out for the concluding part of this article in the following days.

Cheers!

It all started two years ago. The time American began to long for a dynamic change. It was the beginning of the election campaign.

Today history has been made.

An African-American man became the 44th President of the USA. This is uncalled for! Barrack Obama treaded and broke the barrier that has been for long in America.

Yesterday, I spent the entire half of the night awaiting the result of the election though I knew I had to be at work early this morning. However, I was more eager to discover the winner.

This is not just about discovering who the next president of America will be. This is about making history. From the onset that Obama set out for this post during his electoral campaign, he has done practically well. You need to check for yourself to know that truly he is the right person that America needs at these turbulent moments.

If you ask any American citizen about who is the most unpopular president they ever have, they will be so happy to point fingers at their current leadership.

The simple truth is Americans are worn out with wars that have no end. What is war? It brings nothing more than sorrow. The lives of their precious husbands, brothers and friends who sacrifice their lives in Iraq cannot be overruled. As a result of harsh decision, many young soldiers’ wives are today widows. So many children have been born while their fathers are out on the battle-ground. Those kids will never get the opportunity knowing their fathers who the cruel war consumed without mercy. Many parents are childless after losing their sons to the war.

There is September 11th that cannot be forgotten in the hearts of everybody.

You should come to the understanding why every American; both young and old, the white and black folks, the sick and the whole, the single and the married deeply cried for joy last night when Barrack Obama is selected as the next President!

How many people out there who still could not believe that this will happened? How many folks have ruled out the possibility of having a black man ruling over the USA? Are you one of them?

Then, I am here to tell you to get ready for transformation.

Many African folks made histories in their life-time. Check out Martin Luther King Junior, for his profound record. Former South African president, Nelson Mandela is one of such. There are folks such as, Wilma Rudolf, Bill Cosby, Jane Pittman, Elijah McCoy, Elisabeth Taylor Greenfield, Josephine Baker, Louis Armstrong, Jemison Mae C, William Henry Johnson, and George Washington Carver.

Have you forgotten those history-makers in your areas that you still remember dearly?

Now I want to point the arrow to you; HOW MANY POSITIVE HISTORIES HAVE YOU MADE IN YOUR LIFE?

I have made history when I was solely selected from Nigeria by the Berlin Talent Campus, (Initiative of the Berlinale International Film Festival), for my five-minute short film, ‘FOOTBALL; My African Queen’ for the Cultural and Artistic programme of the Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Apart from this, there have been positive results on my life ever since. Not only have I contributed to the film industry, I am on the verge of storming the literary world!

What about you? What can you give out from you to the world? I have not given you the above facts about me just for records; I am directly informing you that you need to be ready to contribute your quota of commitment to your society.

Do you want to get out of this world without being heard? You have a voice and believe me, there are hundreds of people lives that you need to touch. Get up to affect your world for good!

All my novels have been fighting for the cause of human race. I have not relented in my battle to eliminate marital violence, child abuses, and the maltreatment of immigrants across the world. I found my deepest joy when I voice out my thoughts, my knowledge and of course my wisdom.

I am not sending this article to you only for you to just drop it aside. I want you to get set to make history in your world. No matter who you are, no matter the situation around you, it does not matter where you are coming from; I tell you that it is time for you to act!

Barrack Obama has done it, Nelson Mandela has done it, others have done it and I have done it, so also you too can do it!

Get on your mark; ARE YOU READY?

Cheers!

YOUR ONLY LIMIT

Princess Ayelotan

I met Jeanne in on the 31st of August during the Orientation day. She is a student on summer job. We got on well the first instant we introduced each other. Before the end of the day, we had exchanged phone contact.

We met often afterward as we worked in different post.

During the hot summer, all of us opted for the skirts. It was lovely having a change after so many months of dressing in trousers during the cold season. I for one was glad to exhibit my short skirts. I noticed despite the choking heat, Jeanne was always on her jeans trousers.

One day, I confronted her, suggesting she should let go of the trousers in the meantime until after summer. Her response gave me a shocking revelation. Vividly I still recalled she put it this way;

‘Princess, I hate my legs’

Truly I heard people discussed about other people who do not appreciate their features but I have never met such person until Jeanne came into my life.

I tried all I could to convince her that she should not keep on saying this. She went on telling me that her legs are bigger and have muscles all round like that of a man. This is when I realized that there was actually no defect on her legs; she just don’t like her legs because of those muscles

Each day we were together, I talked to Jeanne. The sad part of it is that she had brought her mentality to accept the false fate that the legs should always remain hidden from the public.

I can boldly confess that Jeanne is a pretty young woman. She has those curves that every man will long for. However, her demise was her belief that her legs were not worth any value.

This is her only limit. She went back to school at the end of September. We still keep in touch and deep down my heart, I still wish she should get behind that false belief that she has ugly legs.

This goes down to you. The question is; how do you value yourself?

Do you have any idea who exactly you are? Do you enjoy being called by your name? Have you any respect for your being?

It has taken longer than necessary for some of us to come to the realization that we are who we are today as a result of how we see ourselves. The inner picture of you is what reflects out to mold you into what your physical being.

I am here to inform you today that your image, your value, your inner peace and your self-confidence are what will get you to your goal.

In a situation where you do not appreciate what you have, or how your physical features are, then l must be frank with you that no matter how hard you strive to produce the best in you, it will not come unless you make up your mind to drop aside the wrong mentality that you have been carrying within you that are not what should be.

Your features may have been that way due to an accident or birth effect, it may also be as a result of your carelessness such as bad postures, or unhealthy living. I implore you not to waste that real you while you torture your inner peace for nothing.

What you have not realised is that you have these limits in your life because you failed to see beyond your physical features. Please be aware that there is hope for you. You can get to the point in your life that you will be surprise about how much positive changes have occurred in you.

I want you to come to the knowledge that you are born to be great. You are a special person. It does not matter how overwhelming your physical inabilities are. You are not made to live your life to nothing and without a purpose. It is a great thing when you have me to help you to bypass that false belief and accept the real truths that are meant for your life.

Below are the guidelines that will help you greatly;

1) WATCH OUR WORDS

Stop right away from talking about your features in a negative way. If possible do not even refer to it. Avoid any temptation that will drive you to keep talking about it. Your words are what create your world. If you want to be successful in life, then you have to be careful about the way you throw your words around.  Each letter you mentioned is embodied with power. Be alert. Instead, I suggest you shift from the negativity to the positive. Start mentioning how beautiful you are. Tell everyone who cares to hear you that you are a special being. Let them know that you are priceless. When you are alone, admire yourself.  Look at the mirror in such a way as if your entire world can be found in it.

2) FOCUS BEYOND YOUR PAST

There is no man who packs his thoughts full of his pasts that will have the possibilities to progress in life. Do you know what? Your pasts came to be because they are meant to be. I want you to know that without your pasts, you will not have been where you are today. Though the histories in the past may have been terrible and unpleasant, they happened to teach you some lessons. My pasts have molded me to a great woman today. The more I remember them, the more I am very grateful that I went through them.

Now, there you are in the present, do not be hook down with the load from your pasts. They came and they have gone. What you need right now is for you to let go of them totally. Move on to the future. You have a good life ahead of you. Stop seeing what happened in the pasts. Do not look at everybody as if they are bad. Someone may have hurt you, and that gave you that mentality that you are good-for-nothing.

That person does not have the right over your life. That person came while in your pasts. That was then. You are now here, and what matters is how you see the future ahead of you.

3) BE OFFENSIVE

You should see your life as not just anything happening. When I quote that you must be offensive, it means that you must be ready to change your mentality. I will repeat that your physical features are not your limit. You are your limit. That is, the way you have been seeing your life. The inferiority complex that you have developed for so long that seems not to be going away is what holds you down.

Get ready for a transformation. Do not settle for less because if you do, you will never be able to carry on in life. The worst will be that you will end with a frustrated life.

Learn to worship who you are. Love yourself. Be grateful to God that he created you. Above all,

4) LOVE OTHERS

When you see people having complete physical features than you, compliment them. Show them that you are genuinely interested in them. Tell them straight to their faces that they are truly good-looking. The more you practice this; you will discover with time that you are no longer the same person that you used to be. You will be overwhelmed by the positive outlook that your mentality now holds.

Finally, accept every compliment people pass to you. When someone tells you that you are pretty, be thankful. Smile a lot. Let your heart be warm by their greetings.

Do not worry anymore about where your life is leading because you have just found the truth which is;

YOUR ONLY LIMIT IS YOUR IMAGINATION!

Cheers!
