Princess AyelotanElisabeth* was given one week to quit the government social house, and a month to leave the French territory. Why? A single reason; she has no resident permit. With the rejection letter in her hand plus her seven-month old pregnancy, Elisabeth stood helpless, wondering what next?

She dreaded the idea of deportation. You knew what that means? What does anyone expect a woman in her condition to do?  Personally, her condition touched me; no house, no warmth and no future settlement in Europe as she’d foreseen years ago.

Elisabeth lost every hope in her. After so many pressures from several official forces, she made up her mind to go back to her motherland. I had to come in.

To me, I strongly believe in a two-way option in life. It’s either you accept defeat and quit or you fight back and stand the test of time. No one loves failure. There is no human born to fail. When a man fails in life, it may be by his choice. He can rise up to correct his mistakes, to make amend and continues with his life. On the other hand, he can choose to stay stagnant at that point, regretting his action without making any efforts to advance.

I am happy to announce to you that Elisabeth choose the right counselling. Today, she is not only a mother of two (second baby on the way), she has her personal flat plus her resident permit.

When the word ‘SUCCESS’ becomes your only option, what will you do? Have you been given a date to settle a score and you are finding it impossible to accomplish? Are you in similar situation as Elisabeth (of the past), that your only last hope is to surrender? What are your outlooks to issues surrounding you? Are your decisions wrapped up with negative moves or the opposite?

Do you realise something dynamic about this life? There is no such thing as DEADLINE unless you want it to be!

Your doctor may have said nasty things regarding your health BUT you have the right to change that. Your bank statement may be flashing red continuously, do not let this weight you down. You have the power to alter your life that best way you want.

It is up to you.

Remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. That sounds good to hear, right? Never put your mind on the belief that no one is with you. Tell me, why does GOD exist? Why does HE give you the freedom to anchor your life as you want?

You are a free person. You are loved. You are special. There are no other YOU except YOU. This is the time for you to treat yourself to the best of life. No matter what situation you are at this present moment, you can change it. Do not withdraw from obtaining what belongs to you. Stay away from defeat.

You are your DEADLINE!

Cheers!

MOVING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

Princess AyelotanDear friend,

I would like to offer my deepest apology for this short silent. I was down with the cold. Here in France, this year’s winter is the worst since the past years. The cold becomes unbearable, the snow falls without pity, it rains almost daily, there is hardly the sun shine, once you look out through your window, and you won’t feel the urge to leave your house.

The point is; if you don’t want to go out, that means you will be absent from your job and that will resolved into big problem. Everybody here has no choice than to move out of their home. It’s so funny and frightening when you watch people’s faces everywhere you go. They showed they just cannot tolerate the cold.

And that got me thinking so much about those of us that are lucky to have roofs over our head.  There are hundreds of people right there on the street without any shelter, without any warmth, not even alimentation.  Paris is a beautiful city. Truly I have no doubt neither can I argue when everybody compliment the city to be the CITY OF LIGHT.

On the other side of it, Paris accommodates tens of people who are known as street-outs. Each day, you notice these people hanging out at the corner of the streets, in the metros, on the railway stations, at the markets and even at the super stores.  Once the night falls, and the super stores are shut up for the day, these street-outs will go right in front of the long corridors of the stores and place their camps there for the nights.

This has been going on for years. I feel so terrible and worried for them. A situation like this cannot be handled by a single person, not in a city like Paris.

If this is not possible, then it doesn’t mean that there are no other ways by which one cannot show concern. This is a message for you and I. Paris is not the only city that harbours such people. In all cities across the globe, lots and lots of them are there, and in dire needs.

You may have seen them in your community, in your markets, or near your office. I am sure there were days you have been touched by their flights. I can bet that deep down in your heart, you must have felt the urge to go beyond your boundaries to assist these people. Maybe someone must have spoken about a particular street-out in urgent need to you.

Why not take out this SPECIAL VALENTINE coming up on Saturday and extend your warmth and love to one of these people?  Valentine is NOT solely for lovers. Do not let that traditional idea blocks your image that you will not be able to see beyond that.

Go closer to them. I don’t mean you show walk right into them (Some of them may turn defensive). Begin from today.  Walk passes them in a calm way. Don’t be in a hurry. As you walk by, put your eyes to work. Let your eyeballs roll with speed but gentleness as you select one among them that you are definitely sure will be YOUR valentine.  It may be a woman with a child. It may the either the mother or her child. It may even be a man. Just make your choice.

Then go choose your gift & wrapped it beautifully. Wait until 14TH February, and be timing to know when YOUR valentine WILL be there.  Set out with that fixed confidence in your heart. Put on a relax smile as you reach there. DO NOT SHOW FEAR. Once you are there, greet them all warmly, and FIX YOUR EYES ON YOUR VALENTINE. (By doing that, other will know you are there specifically for that person). Then bring out your gift (still wrapped up) and give it to YOUR valentine.

LISTEN! By this act, you may not be aware of this but you have shown a SINGLE SOUL how special he or she is. Won’t you be glad to do that?

Do you allow this valentine to go away without YOU being special to the STREET-OUTS! They need your love.

I wish you the best of the Valentine!

Cheers

HAVING AN ADDITION

Princess AyelotanThe economic recession started long ago, which means several years. It blew off its cap toward the last quarter of 2008.

Since then, many companies worldwide have been looking for solution. The amazing thing is that these companies, manufacturers, business tycoons, etc do not care whatever the outcome will be in their search for breakthrough. They just want a fast way out.

You know what this mean? They don’t care about anybody except to ensure that they don’t lose any of their long-sweat, hard-earned companies. When I mentioned that they don’t give a hoot about who you are, it simply means that as a staff, they are ready to remove you if that will bring relief to them.

Let me broad this down for you. When it became obvious between November and December 2008 that the economic crisis would leap unto 2009, many giant enterprises and manufacturers in US and across Asia started to cut down their personnel.

Are you getting what I am saying? Most of the employees were those who have faithfully served these companies for years. They have no other means to earn their daily living.  Today, these innocent people are out of the street, jobless.

Can you tell me how majority of them will get the courage to start afresh? Here is another example; if a 56 year-old employee is unfortunately among those retrenched, and he had worked for that company for 32 years. How many years of his life will he used at present to go in search of a new job?

I want you to come forward right now to reason with me. I would like to announce to you that all I have been emphasizing since the beginning of this newsletter is YOU.

Are you in the same category as these people? Are you an employee? How many years have you devoted in your work-place?

I have News for you. It is time for you to add something special to your life.

This is;

Ø  GO TO LEARN A NEW SKILL

Ø  GO BACK TO REINFORCE YOUR EDUCATION

Ø  BE WISE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

Are you still confused? Maybe you are thinking; does she want me to live my job and go to do that?

Don’t be scared. I’m not suggesting you quit your salary-job. I believe you will accept with me that you surely need to learn a new skill. Why don’t you enrol yourself to a profitable workshops, educative forums, or evening courses? You can as well go for corresponding classes. If you need to add up to your level of education in order to establish your private enterprise, then do it! Never be shy about what people around you will say. Never avoid taking any chances at these periods.

These new skills will be of great help to you when you no longer have your salary-job. Believe me, the lucky ones among those retrenched are those who have other job aside before. They had foreseen the future years in the past. Now, they found themselves being thrown out from their salary-jobs but they have built something else aside that continue to generate revenues for them.

I have always disliked salary-jobs. Being from true independent parents, I learnt never to wait on any companies to mould me into what I don’t want for my life. You know, you are good to them when they have the money to pay you but once there is financial crises, believe me, they won’t hesitate an inch before they throw you out. They may never look at how devoted you have served them throughout those years.

Be wise, dear friend! Gone were those days when you can fold your arms akimbo and do nothing. Go for an addition.

Cheers!
